GAIA /gi-yuh/n. (Greek mythology) Goddess of the Earth.
I like the ring to that… “Goddess of the Earth”. GAIA is a Dallas based company founded by Paula Minnis. Paula created this amazing business model to help refugee women learn to integrate into our community and support their families through learned skills. The stories of these women are incredible and you can read about them here.
The women of GAIA began by using beautiful vintage, repurposed, or sustainable materials to create cloth napkins, but the product line is quickly expanding to include exciting new items! Cocktail napkins, bracelets, picture frames and zippered pouches are all available. And TODAY, GAIA introduced pillows using textiles by Megan Adams and stockings for the holiday season! You can find them exclusively at Dallas’ premier boutique destination, Forty Five Ten.
The holiday season is upon us and it is time to entertain! I shot my own personal photo session the other night using my Jan Barboglio, Vietri and Lenox to see how many different looks I could create using just a few beautiful GAIA products!
I love the juxtaposition of the masculine houndstooth print with my pearl napkin rings…
These napkin rings by Bonnie Basham for GAIA are simply divine! They also come in a beautiful amber color.
These large napkins are such a great size, I used one as a place mat…
And in the bread basket…
These custom textiles by designer Megan Adams are my favorite!
And finally, you know you are having way too much fun styling your own photo shoot when you whip out the orange juice! I finally had to make myself drink the OJ and call it a day!
